YouTube Stories for creators

You can no longer add music from the Audio Library to YouTube Stories. We’re removing this feature because of low usage, and so we can focus on improving the Stories experience.
Stories are short, mobile-only videos that allow you to connect with your audience more casually, on the go. Stories will expire after 7 days. To learn strategies for creating effective stories, visit the Creator Academy.
You cannot create stories if your channel’s audience is set as made for kids. Learn more about setting your audience.
Note: This feature may not be available with supervised experiences on YouTube. Learn more here.
Note: The Stories feature is in beta and available to all eligible channels with over 10,000 subscribers. It may take up to 7 days for Stories to show up after reaching 10,000 subscribers.

Where do Stories appear?

Stories are on mobile only and appear on the Stories page on your channel. They may show on the Subscriptions feed to subscribers. In addition, all viewers may see your Stories on Home and on some watch pages.
You can view your own story by tapping your profile picture in the Stories row on the app's Home screen or on the Subscriptions feed.
How do I check views, comments, and likes for my story?

You'll see the number of views, comments, and likes on each of your own story posts at the bottom of the player.

On the YouTube app, you may also see the total number of views and subscribers you’ve gotten in the last 14 days. This info will appear above the Stories row on Home.

Note: Viewers can’t see the number of views, comments, or likes on your story.

Can I moderate comments on my story?

You can moderate comments directly in the story or in YouTube Studio. Comment moderation settings will apply to both video uploads and Stories. Learn more about comment moderation here.

How long do comments on Stories last?

Comments on Stories will expire with the story after 7 days. You can see comments on a story for 30 days in YouTube Studio.

Can I turn off notifications for views on my Stories?
